Over a century old, the Concord watch brand has become extremely well known and is very popular. As part of the Movado group, it is a sister brand to other well known iconic brands such as Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste, and of course the famous Movado brand itself. One of the things Concord brought to the table for the watch making industry was the idea of adding in diamonds and other rare stones into their wristwatches to increase their fashionable nature and appeal even more to the exclusive high end clientele they sought.
With such a vision for their market and customer one would expect to find Concord leading the industry throughout the twentieth century but the watch maker struggled to meet its lofty goals. For a time the popularity of Concord copy timekeepers was very high but it sank as the brand became less popular around the millennium. In 2007 the company’s management decided it was time for drastic measures and completely overhauled the company’s product line as well as their marketing strategies. They consolidated their value in fewer models and fewer dealers. This has led to a revival of the brand, which hopes to compete with watch makers such as Hublot and Panerai.
As the brands image continues to climb, many young professionals who like the look but cannot afford the price tag find themselves purchasing C1 Chronograph replication watches in order to achieve their fashion goals within their budgetary means. Concord’s new C1 line contains some of the most unique designs yet conceived by the watch making industry, such as the C1 Biretrograde. They incorporate uniquely tinted precious metals with modern materials to create a modern looking wristwatch that is impressive to behold. There has been no word if Concord has plans to expand their catalog offering or if they will stick with the three types of C1 indefinitely.
